PROJECT
Background
During peak travel hours the bus lanes are for busses only. In order to reduce congestion during off-peak hours, the city trialed a system which illuminates arrows on the bus lanes when the lanes can be used by the public.
Solution
The on-road LED markers illuminate in yellow, forming an arrow indicating that the lane can be used by motorists. The system is turned off via timers when the bus lanes are closed to general public.
