Carpark Guidance - Vienna, Australia
PROJECT Background Car park guidance and safety is important ot improve user experience and reduce congestion times in busy cities. Solution On-road LED markers are used as general guidance lighting to car parks, and also illuminate amber with a flashing sequence when pedestrians are crossing the road. The system can be used to display open car parks with green and red LED markers on the surface of each parking bay.

Crosswalk - Auckland, NZ
PROJECT Background Crosswalk Solution The successful reduction of accidents at the site resulted in further installations in Auckland and other regions and a long-term contract over the next years to install crosswalks throughout the region.The installation included On Road LED markers and SmartPed™ (system activation device, activation through pedestrian standing on ‘smart’ yellow tactile tiles). System reporting available on number of activations per day, LED marker state and other system information.
Cycle lane – Copenhagen, Denmark
PROJECT Background Cycleway delineation and pacing system Solution On-road LED markers are used as delineation on cycleway, but also provides a pacing system to improve cycle time. The system is installed between two intersections. On a green phase the LED markers will start turning on 20km/h. If the cyclist stays behind the green LED markers, they are guaranteed to get a green phase at the next traffic light. The LED markers turn off at the same speed at the end of the green phase.

PROJECT Background Upgrade with the latest security technology. Solution The Elbtunnel in Hamburg is currently being upgraded with the latest security technology. ONROADLED used an inductively-powered, intelligent and dynamic on-road lighting system with Smartstud LED on-road markers to increase tunnel safety through traffic delineation and supporting exit and emergency signage. The 3325m Elbtunnel upgrade reached stage 2 of 4 in 2011 with 687 bi-directional intelligent Smartstud LED road marker (red) and 14 intelligent IPH2000i Power supplies.

The LED markers are evenly spaced across the intersection, with more LED markers on the approach of each lane. General Holmes Tunnel, Sydney Australia
PROJECT Background The M5 General Holmes Drive is 5km long and leads towrds the Sydney aiport and has high volume traffic especially during rush hour times. Safety and Tidal flow provided by a reliable on-road guidance system is mandatory to control traffic safety successfully. Solution 3i inovation’s on-road lighting system with LED lighting product, SMARTSTUD were installed in 2003 and proved its reliability for 10 years. in 2013 the system was reinstalled.
George Massey Tunnel – Vancouver, CA
PROJECT Background The Massey Tunnel has counter-flow lanes in effect to help keep traffic moving during morning and afternoon rush hours. 3 lanes northbound, 1 lane southbound and vice versa. Solution ONROADLED’s system was installed in 2000 with an upgrade to intelligent IPH2000i power supplies after 11 years of successful operation. The application comprises 620 bidirectional Smartstud on-road markers with yellow LEDs, 4 power supplies and 5.6 km of cable.
