Solution
3i Traffic was approached to deliver a customised lighting solution to enhance safety at a principal crossing on the Auckland Port premises. 3i Innovation used an intelligent system. The solution is based on 65 inductively powered, flush mounted road marker with bi-directional red and green LED lights. The warning lights along the pedestrian crossing are activated by push buttons at each end and complemented with traffic signals. Service vehicles will also trigger the system when driving over inductive loops installed at the cross roads.
