SMARTPED
The SmartPed is a reliable pedestrian detection system with precise boundaries. It consists of in-pavement tiles that detect pedestrians waiting to cross the street. SmartPed registers the presence of pedestrians in a similar manner to motor vehicle loop detectors. Alert drivers most effectively in combination with an on-road LED lighting system.
